So another weekend of road-warriors of the 16-18 variety and a very worthy one. Today Sue K, Fred G and Nelson led the fearless group out the gate before the pellets of rain came off the dark clouds in the horizon. And I do not mind telling you I felt the need to ride with the 14-16 group for a number of practical reasons - 1) it is tax free weekend 2) school is about to begin and 3) it is snotty hot out there gang! Lo-and-behold but what did I spy this morning in the 16-18 group???? All the wee-bit ones including Kerri (below in the white helmet) and her lovely companion, along with Arlene (go girlfriend!) and Vicky (squoshed next to Oscar) all rode this morning. An awesome ride and an excellent group. Oscar - whose wheel is always steady, safe and driven (plus he is the perfect choice if you are tiny and weak) afforded me safe haven - I was a bit spent from digging up weeds the night before right before the storm hit Coral Gables. And, getting up at 5 am (without blaming school) is not fun at all - but hey, the road beckoned, it was Saturday - and other that Cheers (TV sitcome) where else in Miami do you go to find great friends, safe and warm hugs, and lovely roads and vistas? EBC does it again ---Uhm, yes I did hike up to the beach at 9:30, but sheets of rain (no joke) kept even the bird-man out of the water at 10th and Collins today! totally swamped Swans and Ducks! All the Best - PS: The selfie thing on the Blackbery is always a ducey! OK, we squoshed to the right, but Oscar...he aimed left! I------ Is that Alley ?????
