So anyway...My one bartender says to me Ur rocking a tie today....I told him Ive been rocking a tie since day one when we opened...he says Sorry- my bad!....My other bartender chimes in Im surprised ur not wearing a vest like u usually do.. .for the record, I wore a vest maybe 4 times since day one !!!....The moral of the story here is- todays kids are seriously wrapped up in the cell phone world...They spend so much time of their waking hrs. looking down texting or whatever, that they are unaware of their surroundings....Their reality is their phone...Its their compass that guides them through their day....When I enacted the no cell phone policy at Robertos, I naively let them text only from their phone that is in a drawer behind the hostess counter....BIG MISTAKE....What I learned was that they really ONLY text...noone actually talks to anyone....Big nights out are planned with never actually speaking to one person...So now no texting either is allowed & they can cope...My generation would have noticed my daily tie/no vest attire...thats all Im saying...lol !!!
