So apart from the people who were supposed to be renting my house - TopicsExpress

So apart from the people who were supposed to be renting my house on 1 November backing out - I had a WONDERFULLY, SPECIAL email this morning. ACE was on the KILL list at BARC Animal Shelter in Houston. WE SAVED him and look at the life he is living now and Im going to copy the email as it is the most magical email (for me) ever :) ACE went to many adoption events and we ALWAYS had people asking about him, spending time with him and saying they would complete their application - they never did, which I for one am happy for as he truly is with his PERFECT FAMILY here :) thank you so much Michelle for sharing his new chapter in his life and for letting him into your hearts and homes - I have goosebumps now even typing this :) xxx The FIRST photo is of him at the KILL shelter. ------------------------------------------------------------ Jen, I forgot I have your email too and just wanted to share (Ace)-our General, and his newly adopted friend, 8month old Golden Retriever, OLIVER. Hes originally from Missouri, found at about 3months of age, alone on the street. A friend of my aunts asked if she knew anyone that could take him so she called us. Initially, my reply was ME? 4 dogs? Buddy-my loner grandma dog (she was rescued from someone that would throw things at her), Baby Bella-very sociable tiny minpin, and now General (Ace). So Oliver would be #4. Wellll, then you meet Oliver, his name fits his personality perfectly -hes a lovable super soft playful guy thats submissive to our General. They play well together. 4 for me, equates I think to 70 or 80 dogs for you! Lol -but I have to say, so far so good. Oliver DID push things a bit with Buddy as he put his paw up on her shoulder -that sounded like WWIII but surprisingly it was just them growling as they didnt hurt each other. Ohhhh I expected to see blood but, nothing. Whew! Hes now a bit more respectful to her. He and General however, are like big brother/little brother with Oliver being the latter. They will meet Lilly and Rocky this weekend. Lilly (THE Great-grandma of the pack and Rocky, another super sociable play hound.) they are both small beagles. It should be fun! I cant wait to see Generals reaction to her back yard. Every dog loves it back there; lots of trees, peaceful, birds, fish pond, squirrels playing games in the trees-its just a fun tranquil place. The kids are having a blast with these guys! Walks are never boring! haha (sorry this is so long!) I just want you to know that I cant imagine General being any happier. He watches football with the guys on the General couch, he LOVES to go see Katelyn in her room (pics soon), and follows my oldest son around the house. He gently jumps up on Lance or me. He seems to identify us as pack leaders - just very respectful. I seriously dont think Ive ever met a more sweet, respectful dog-even with Buddy. He doesnt bother her and isnt rough with Baby Bella. He runs sprints in the backyard with Oliver. Theres just a good mix it seems, of things for him to do and sometimes he just seems to want some downtime, so he goes in the oversized homemade crate and takes a nap, or he goes to Generals Couch! haha Thank you again for such a sweet guy. We love him dearly! Blessings, Michelle
