So, as its something that Ive always been critical of and is - TopicsExpress

So, as its something that Ive always been critical of and is apparently a large reason people are uneasy about Midwinter, Id like folks to take a moment to seriously answer a question for me. Why is your character so dogmatically loyal to the Camarilla that the idea of merely being in the same room as some Sabbat is justification for avoiding a major event entirely? I get that, yes, some PCs should be that way. Jan Pieterzoon is proof that the concept has its place in the Camarilla. However Jan is also a victim of propoganda and at times willfully blind to the world around him. Hes a pawn, and Ive rarely met the player who wants to play a character whos a pawn in someone elses game. In OWBN, many PCs have the Lores to know that the Camarillas propaganda is... not entirely accurate. Likewise, most of them also live in cities with other Camarilla PCs who are just as violent, murderous, and savage as said propaganda accuses the Sabbat of being. So I am looking for entirely in-character reasonings why you, as the player, are choosing to cut down on your roleplay/shady dealings opportunities in the name of blind loyalty to your sect. Its a mentality Ive never understood so Im hoping folks can help me see this perspective.
