So as most of you know, my sister, Sherry Kraus passed away on - TopicsExpress

So as most of you know, my sister, Sherry Kraus passed away on Aug. 18th from a long battle with Alzheimers. She was only 46. :( The news took me a bit by surprise as I guessed Sherry could live in the state she was in for many more years. For her, I am so glad she is no longer suffering as over the years, Alzheimers gradually took away her ability to use her arms, legs and most importantly, her voice...things we take for granted each day. Since her death, I have had a heckuva time talking about her dying and how much I will miss her, hence this lengthy post and silent video. I guess this must have been how Sherry felt but didnt have the use of her hands to type like I am right now. :-( My younger and much ornerier son, Bryson challenged me to the ALS ice bucket challenge. It never crossed my mind that I would be challenged to do this, but I will indeed take this challenge with a slight twist. To honor my sister, I would like to make MY ice bucket challenge and donation to the Alzheimers Association and The Helping Hands Humane Society of Topeka, Ks., as Sherry loved animals of all kinds. I hope the ALS foundation understands my circumstances and wont mind me twisting this a bit to fit me and my sisters wishes. I challenge THERESA KNAPP, DAVID KRAUS, and THERESA LISTER to the ice bucket challenge...doing it for ALS or any other charity they deem necessary. THERESA KNAPP, I will grant you 72 hours as I know you have a 14 hr drive back to Michigan tomorrow. See you in a little while by Steven Curtis Chapman is playing in the background...one of two songs we played during a video memorial for Sherry yesterday. Sherry, I love you much, much more than I ever told you and I WILL see you in a little while. Your loving little sister, Donna
