So, as my wife was checking out of the ER (nothing serious, dont worry...), she was told by the doctor that hed write her a prescription for Percocet. She declined, saying dont even bother because she would not be filling it. But he was rather persistent, concerned for her comfort, and got her to at least accept a script for 800mg Motrin & an anti-nausea med (which, again, she said she probably wouldnt even fill, knowing well that she had a steady supply of a locally-grown organic remedy at home that would do the trick just fine). But the nurse came back with 3 scripts: the Motrin, the anti-nausea, AND Percocet! When she tried to refuse it, the nurse stuffed it in her purse, saying to take it, just in case. What if my wife was a recovering opiate addict? She refused narcotics several times then caved under pressure... And no medical practitioner ever even asked if she might have a substance-abuse problem! Our corrupt medical & pharmaceutical industries are directly responsible for the sky-rocketing heroin addictions. Its a legal government-backed cartel of drug pushers! The real gateway drug comes in a little orange pharmacy bottle! Shame on you #BethIsraelDesconessHospital
