So as you all may ALREADY know, I stand in solidarity with the people of Ferguson. Why? Because the Micheal Brown case is an addition to the ONE TOO MANY incidents that have taken place against our communities of color! Let me refresh your memories and just name a FEW of the long list. Remember the case of Trayvon Martin? Or the case of Oscar Grant? Maybe even the case of 13 year old Andy López? Or MOST recently in San José, the case of Antonio Guzmán? Yeah? Now can you PLEASE name me ATLEAST ONE of these cases that have been served justice? JUST ONE? Oh.... NOW you understand the frustration felt by those of us of the colored community! We are being told we are making this a thing about race. And YES, how could we not when there is a race issue that is STILL very much alive! Those living in comfort choose to ignore it.... But there is NO denying it is still a HUGE EXISTING STRUGGLE countless of us LIVE on a DAILY BASIS. Because if ethnicities were switched between Darren Wilson and Michael Brown.... We could BET on Darren Wilson serving up to a LIFE sentence behind bars.
