So at 6:30 tonight my Ma called a family meeting. It sounds like my Granny is beginning the final chapter of her life journey. Wanda Pfau was such an influence on me when I was a little shit growing up in the Ridge. All my RIDGIE buddies knew her as Gran :) I remember going for walks, going to the Dairy Queen,and eating KFC on the patio of her house during the summertime. She would use words like humdinger when she would tell a story or say thats horse shit!when she was pissed! Lol. We played Gin Rummy 500 and she would let me win. To this day I still get $10 in my birthday cards with have a treat on me written in it ;) We would watch WWF on Mondays and she would get so excited when Ricky The Dragon Steamboat would whoop some butt! She would let me stay up late on New Years Eve so I could see the Ball drop. I remember her bringing me and Steve Gable to island park to go swimming and after take us to Hardees for a pig out lol. So many great memories of her, Im happy she will soon get to be with my Grandpa Andy and be young again. Heres to ya Granny! Thanks for being awesome and always reading me bedtime stories when I was afraid of the dark lol.
