So at least once a week or so I have someone ask me how they can - TopicsExpress

So at least once a week or so I have someone ask me how they can become a part of Vicious Cycle. The answer plain and simple is hang around LOTS. When the time is right we ask you to begin a probationary or striking period if you prove that you value our primary purpose and respect motorcycle club tradition. 1- Why hang around lots? Well we are a service organization and require lots of our members time to fulfill our obligation to each other and to our community. A person who does not have time to hang around lots in the beginning does not have the time to help us grow our organization and fulfill our primary purpose. 2- Why are you a boys only club? Well we follow motorcycle club lead when taking this approach but it helps us to focus on our primary purpose with out the possibility of romantic distractions which if gone wrong could cause interior friction and take away again from our primary purpose. Its also an opportunity for us to foster strong male bonding in a healthy environment.(sorry ladies) :) 3- Do you guys have plans to expand into other provinces or can people start a Vicious Cycle in their area? The answer is NO. To extend our reach further than here at home invites many problems as we do not know the people we would be lending our name to. We have a great reputation here and would hate for some asshole strangers to ruin what we have worked hard for or hurt our reputation. 4- Can I buy a patch? Yes a SUPPORT PATCH but it is small and only says support Vicious Cycle on it. Our skull and circle symbol is intellectual property of Vicious Cycle and protected under copyright law. Only full status members are allowed to use this image. OUR FULL PATCH IS EARNED NEVER BOUGHT! 5- I dont want to be a full member but am interested in helping, what can I do? Come to our events and rides as all monies raised go back to help addiction recovery in our community. Spread the word about who we are and what it is that we do. Post positive messages of hope and healing here on our support page. Donate to the Nash David Campbell memorial bursary (awarded in October but donations accepted year round) or support our other initiatives which are providing assistance through donating recovery literature or covering registration costs for newcomers to attend recovery seminars and conventions. We also do outreach work and 12 step calls when asked so keep us informed if there is someone who may benefit from our message. Thanks again for all your support and I hope this answers some of your questions :) If you have further questions please ask us for clarification and any member would be glad to properly inform you.
