So... back from the (very dark) future... and just got out of a bath that I left pink from fake blood and pulped beetroot, which would have been funny had I not also had a family dinner with my in-laws. Lord only knows what I looked like! Thank you all for a wonderful weekend. I had great fun talking in a deep growl. Covering myself in fake blood. Getting far over my head with fights. Trying to be intimidating. In no particular order then; Thank you for the refs, design team, and crew for a fantastic world in which to stride and shout. Thank you for the other players for populating the fantastic world in which I was striding and shouting. Thank you you for letting me cover myself in fake blood/pulped beetroot, wear red contact lenses, and scream and shout at you all. In particular Id like to thank; the rest of the Endless Daggers for being entirely reasonable in the face of everything. Rick Rodgers, Peter Coffey and Mark Parkin... you are all the best (psychotic) friends a crazy could want. the Lifers for being entirely awesome, for being supportive and cool to the Endless Daggers in general and me in particular. Olwen Lachowicz, Katharina Draisbach, Dominic Carroll, Ben Stevens, Linette J. L. Withers, Bea Ky, Sarah Cook and in particular the wonderful and entirely brilliant Joe Rooney for being the perfect ex for a psychologically scarred Falket seer to come home to... All of you where amazing to roleplay with as ever, and I look forward to building on to the character, and going into new and entirely not dark and bloodstained directions. the healers for taking the time to put me back together time after time after time after... the guy playing Doctor Fabius Tinkerbell Meridian for putting up with me on friday night, and throughout the weekend. You where a joy to bounce off. (Equally apologies if my late arrival, new player nervous, system scared, and mind messed overcompensating came across in any negative way. It was not intended as such... but I was a little disassociated so a big sorry) everyone I spoke to, growled at, pulled a blade on, swore at, spat blood at, sniffed, and otherwise interacted with. All in all, a fine weekend that has taught me a few personal home truths too. I am not a fit as I once was. I am not as good at LRP combat as I used to be. I am incapable of not ballgowning my way through an event. I need to read rules and not rely on roleplay to get through games as that style of play doesnt mesh with players/crew who have read rules. I need to be better prepared for games. Erm... yeah... In short a great weekend that has entirely broken me. Thank you all again for being a welcoming and entirely awesome group.
