So before I turn from a rising sophomore to just sophomore heres how I feel : As I already mentioned, the word sophomore means “wise fool”. It is an oxymoron but has a legitimate connotation of how we - the sophomores - feel. There are orientation programs and special classes for freshmen. Being newbies, most of their mistakes are forgiven. We wise fools, however, are expected to know all the stuff and act wise. Freshmen have got alot to explore. And its just boring to sit and watch them being amazed and excited. Envious? Ofcourse we would be. All of a sudden, freshmen seem to have claimed our title of Special class with special benefits. Its because of these perks that I have always been apprehensive of losing my title of a freshman - I have been a freshman for two years afterall. And Here I am not sure whether I feel wise or foolish at any given moment. Ambivalent. Nervous. Because there is alot to suffer-more this year along with the academic part.
