So before we get Facebook Friday going, we would like to inform everyone about something very special to Splashway! (This post is a little long, but worth the read!) Fridays will now be Cure Clorisa Fridays! Here at the park we allow everyone to wear their orange Cure Clorisa shirts to show support her and her familys journey while she battles cancer. We have t-shirts, caps, and wristbands available for purchase her at Splashway. Currently we are out of many sizes of the t-shirts, but more are ordered and should be here next week! All proceeds will go to Clorisa and her family. If you dont know the story, we will give it to you again! Clorisa Hartensteiner has been a member of the Splashway Waterpark family for 13 years and is the backbone of our operations. She is a wife and a mother of two beautiful girls. In early May just before opening the gates for our first day of the 2014 season, Clorisa received a phone call that would change her life and ours as we knew it. The motto of We are Family has never meant more to our park than it does now! Clorisa was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). Since then Clorisa has been receiving care at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Weve made it our mission to join her in the fight against Leukemia with our new motto, Cure Clorisa. If you would like to help us help Clorisa, stop by the Guest Service lobby while visiting the waterpark and purchase a Cure Clorisa t-shirt, cap, visor, bracelet or make a donation. All proceeds go to Clorisa to help her and her family fight for her cure!
