So, can someone please tell me what the heck was flying over Pierrefonds/Dollard area last night around 9:00 p.m. We had friends over, and our boys thought they saw shooting stars, however they were travelling slowly from west to east, horizontally. They started below tree line, appearing like a ball of fire, in singular units that appeared to have a vertically positioned flame that did not burn out as it travelled eastward....there were consecutive units, we saw about 6 or 7 of these things............???????....lanterns launched for special occasion? We have 7 witnesses.....
