So did you or didnt you like #RevolverRani ? There are conflicting views on it. But for the most part, it is Indias first attempt at a Quentin Tarantino school of guts, gore & grimy cinena. The background music is heavily inspired from #KillBill. The performances are Indianized yet shocking. The crazed performance of a woman dacoit in the hinterland of the Chambal valley are true to what a crazed woman dacoit in the Chambal would be. Obviously. Of course she has a Toy Boy who she feeds kadak murghas (translate that for obscenity) as aphrodisiacs and doesnt even give him time to recharge. The music is devent. The movie doesnt attempt to be anythng bt #PulpFiction. Doesnt want to be commercially cool, yet it seems to try too hard at times. But the overall result is timepass. #VirDas is reasonably funny. #PiyushMishra is brilliant as always. But it is a #KangnaRanaut who steals the gunpower. With darkened skin, frizzy hair, inane outfits, porous skin and as loud as can be, she is the Chambal ki rani. Delivering a statuesque performance, she lifts the mediocre parts into a whole new world. She scores yet again after #Queen. This actress has guts. Here she has guns too. Overall, a minor edit required and some more cool quotient. I still go with 3.5 stars. One entire star for Kangnas firepower.
