So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today. (Matthew 6:2, 31-34 NLT) Our Heavenly Father never wants His children to worry. He never wants any of His children to be anxious about anything (Philippians 4:6). He assures us that no matter what happens its still all good (Romans 8:28). As much as it is wise to plan ahead, still, The Lord wants us to commit every plan to Him for it to succeed (Proverbs 16:3). In all our ways He wants us to commit it to Him that He may help us (Psalms 37:5). This is the great assurance that God has you covered. No amount of insurance, saving, investing, or advanced planning could guarantee us a bright future. The bible does not tell us not to buy insurance, or not to save for the future, or not to invest in a business, property, or stocks. What The Lord is telling us is that whatever we think of that is meant to secure our future is pointless if we dont include Him in our preparation. He promised to cover us beyond our future, because His covering lasts until eternity. And all the planning and preparation that we need is to always seek His Kingdom and his righteousness.
