So, eight weeks ago yesterday, I had posted that I would be off FB for a few days. Some of you commented, Have a nice vacation.. I had to laugh when I got back on. I went in for a major surgery. I had a 19lb ovarian cyst on my right ovary. Yes, 19lbs!! I have pictures. I had some other stuff going on, so they took all the female parts. Helloooooo menopause! I didnt have any symptoms or pain, just looked 6-7 months pregnant. I was waiting for an ultrasound, but thanks to the urging of my husband and my Rottie peeps I saw at the Rottie movie, we went to the emergency on Saturday the 21st of June. I was being wheeled in to the OR on the 25th. Two Amazing things....it was all BENIGN, and I havent smoked a cigarette in 8 weeks!!! Doug and I were told at first by the ER doc it was probably ovarian cancer....the hardest phone call was to my parents. We saw my new doc first thing Monday morning, the 23rd, and after viewing the scan, he was pretty certain it wasnt. He was right!! Instant relief on our faces. ( my mommy was there too). So, needless to say, it scared the crap out of me, and it was time to quit smoking. So ladies, listen to your bodies, and if something seems off, go get it checked out. The doc was amazed that I could still breathe. Thank you my friends....you all know who you are, it means so much that you were all there. And of course my poor big hunk. He has a hormonal teenage son and a hormonal wife...how fun for him. LOL. Hang in there babe, one of us should snap out of it soon.....I hope.
