So every once in a while I still have lessons on living in a foreign country. Today’s lesson: - If you pay your electricity bill at the local Oxxo (our 7-11) by credit card, they’ll charge you an additional 49 pesos. Incidentally – since Mexico utilities aren’t set-up like the states, you have two options for paying the bill Go down to the local office which is in Town (either Rosarito or Ensenada which is 20-45 minutes away respectively Go down to the closest Oxxo to pay - The utility won’t actually TELL you that you still owe 49 pesos (roughly $3.75 usd)…nope they’ll just cut off your power! - Oh yeah – don’t bother talking to the utility worker – they will just tell you to pay the bill at the Office in Rosarito…oh yeah yeah – when you pay it, they’ll cut your power on the following day…when they get around to it…maybe… SO anyways – good thing this all transpired on my lunch break! Lol. Don’t take living in the states Granted! :) One thing is for sure Mi vida es un Aventura… “My life is an adventure”
