So everyone is fully aware of the Ice Bucket Challenge for ALS. However, August is Gastroparesis Awareness Month so the GP community wanted to get in on the action. My GP sister Alley Samms challenged me to do the Ice Bucket Challenge in honor of Gastroparesis but I decided to invent my own challenge for Gastroparesis in addition to accepting her challenge (because I never turn down a challenge). So this is the Gastroparesis Flour Challenge. My sister was kind enough to dump a 5 pound bag of flour on my head. I extend thus challenge to the entire Spartanburg Deadly Dolls roller derby team, Tori Danielson, Jenna Ratkowski, Michelle Preston, Kristi Roach, and all my nursing sisters/staff. You have 72 hours to complete the Flour Challenge or you must pay $10 to Digestive Health Alliance for Gastroparesis research at IFFGD.org/donate. Lets get Gastroparesis going viral folks! Share this with all your friends and spread awareness for this terrible rare disease.
