So, everything happens for a reason. I am well aware of this and try to live my life embracing this. However, right now I am just a tad bit upset. Tomorrow is the day that my back surgery is scheduled. Got the call this morning that I needed to be at the hospital at 9:30 in the morning. Went and had all my blood work done, chest xrays done and EKG done and preregistered for the procedure. Got another phone call this afternoon from the surgeons office that the insurance company has not even looked at the authorization and has not approved the procedure. She was on the phone with them for nearly three hours to try to get it passed through. According to the extremely rude man that she was on the phone with, it takes up to 15 business days for them to review and approve something like this and unless it is life threatening, we will have to wait. (Well, apparently he doesnt know me very well, because since she called me, I have had about 500 life threatening thoughts!) I am trying to remain positive, but this pain is terrible and the meds keep me so out of it all the time. I was really looking forward to getting this over with and feeling like me again. As my mother would say, It will all work out the way it is supposed to! But, Ugggggghhhhhh!!!!!!
