So excited to announce that Marty has been nominated (for the second year in a row) as PRCA Veterinarian of the Year. He was in the final 3 last year. Zoetis PRCA Veterinarian Of The Year To be awarded at the 2013 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association is pleased to recognize veterinarians involved in the sport rodeo with the annual “Zoetis PRCA Veterinarian of the Year Award”. The recipients will be honored at the PRCA Contract Personnel Awards Banquet in Las Vegas as well as during the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. The award will go to a veterinarian who exemplifies extraordinary dedication and commitment to the well being of professional rodeo livestock. “We will honor one veterinarian each year, but it is also recognition of the hundreds of veterinarians who are on-site at PRCA rodeos and who care for livestock in their communities,” said ProRodeo Hall of Famer and Chairman of the PRCA’s Animal Welfare Committee, Doug Corey, DVM. "The PRCA is thrilled to have our partners at Zoetis as the title sponsor for the PRCA Veterinarian of the Year Award, their commitment to the health of livestock and to veterinarians is a perfect match, " said PRCA Director of Industry Outreach, Cindy Schonholtz. The award-winning PRCA Livestock Welfare Department is involved in outreach and education, along with implementing rules for the proper care and treatment of livestock.
