So excitttteeeddddd. My lifelong dream is coming true! I was promoted as interim Executive Director of Marketing and Finance at Aspen Camp. *happy dance* But thats not all! David will be working alongside with me as the interim Executive Director of Programs! Yay! We have Zack and Max who have been phenomenal in their work. We have an awesome full-time interpreter, Kyle. Raymond Rodgers was elected President. Long-time colleague and friend, Nick Stark was elected Vice President. John Skjeveland was elected Treasurer. Wife of Mike Adler (the grandfatherly board member who passed away earlier this year), Pam, was voted on the board and then as the secretary. I choked up seeing that Mike was very much with us in spirit. It is the first time in history that Aspen Camp had: - Deaf Directors - Deaf Board President (ever), Vice President, and Treasurer at the same time - Majority of Deaf Staff and Board Members - Strong Deafhood view Just makes my heart burst with joy to see the camp moving in the right direction and picking up speed. The energy we have is vibrant. The board/team dynamics is unbelievable. Things are falling in place, just like Lesa and I envisioned. Oh man... To the Aspen Camp family: Congratulations!
