So folks, I have a VERY exciting announcement!!! My little foster baby Lily has officially been adopted!! (keep reading to see by whom!!) Her life started out pretty rough, and by the time Chihuahuas of the Valley picked her up, she was unable to lift her head or use her back legs due to malnutrition and dehydration. She weighed 3lbs, and some stupid Vet spayed her in this condition. When I picked her up I wasnt sure if she was going to make it, it was a scary and stressful few days. I posted on this page asking for help, as this was my first foster that had such physical issues, and no sooner had I hit enter, this LOVELY person by the name of Alison Knight responded its luxating patella. For the past several weeks Alison and Emma Queeniechi have been helping me SO much to help Lily. Because of the advise and nutritional information, and the 15 step program (thank you Skip Godfrey!!) she now is running and playing (her knees are still slipping, but she is USING her legs, and is showing no signs of pain). She has gained weight appropriately, and is even feisty now! Shortly after sharing her story, Allison contacted me, asking about how to adopt Lily....can you imagine? Is there anyone more perfect, with the experience to properly treat her LP, who uses Holistic ideologies, and is probably one of the best people I have had the pleasure of meeting on Facebook? So guess whos flying HOME on Dec 27th? My heart swells with relief that Lily will have the most AMAZING life, the life she deserves! I will forever be indebted that Alison reached out to adopt, and is going to be Lilys new Mama!
