So for a guy that started drinking Burgundy seriously about 8 years ago, post-premox, this is an absolute treat. Ive had very few aged white Burgs and this does not disappoint. The color is pale yellow, young appearing actually. The nose draws you back again and again with a great deal of expression and interest. Its not like the young Chardonnay Im used to, say orchard fruit, but more floral like passing through a meadow of alpine flora in the Sierra mountains at about 8-10k feet. On the palate is a gorgeous presence of grace and poise on the entry that carries through on the mid palate and lengthy finish without anything missing. Best WB Ive had in awhile.
