So for a quick overview, I am going to share a text explanation I sent. My GP {gastroparesis} got bad after my sedation on Wednesday {the for the injection in my neck}. Then by Thursday night I couldnt get anything down at all and started throwing up. Friday morning I went to the doctor and they gave me toradol and phenegren IM but that didnt help. So Friday afternoon they sent me to infusion center for a fluid bolus and a small dose of dilaudid more phenegren and zofran. When that didnt help they admitted me. They were keeping me fairly comfortable over night but when the morning came they couldnt get any blood for labs. I was told last time I was here by the head of all Piccs andd IVs (idk her specific title but shes the top of the pyramid when nurses get someone else then someone else. She knows me by name when anyone calls her for me) that any future IVs should be considered as a blessing and that even my arterial veins {that they have to get with the ultrasound machine} were going bad. She said I would likely need a picc or central line whenever I come in until I get a port but yet no {doctor sees how hard it is for an IV so they dont order anything other than IVs}. So after they couldnt even get the blood drawn (which used to be a piece of cake even though I was a hard stick for IVs) I talked to the doctor {who is on call for my new pcp} about everything. He ordered a central line and {interventional radiology} took me down last night to place it, but because of how bad my neck pain is {and my high anxiety} we did it with sedation. I woke up to find that they put it in my jugular and now my neck pain is 10xs worse and now not only can I not get anything down {eating/drinking/taking pills} but it is extremely painful to swallow my spit. {Nervous and anxious about having to talk to the doctor today because my anxiety makes my mind go blank, I stumble over my words and then get extremely emotional.} {} = added or edited for this post from the original message Karly
