So, for obvious reasons Ive been thinking about the subject of suicide and depression. And I have nothing profound to add to what others have said. The only thing that really matters to me is that if I lose my fight against depression and take my life, I dont want my daughter to feel that it is her fault, that she let me down or did not live up to my expectations. She has been, is and will always be more than I could ever have dared to ask for. I love her so much it hurts in a good way. All I really want is to be now is a good father. And that is my strongest defense against suicide. Right now Im fine but I am scared that some day even that wont be enough. What can you do though but keep on keeping on? This is my deepest fear, not of suicide, but of hurting my daughter. Goddess, please let her not have inherited my depression!
