So for the last few months, Ive had a couple problems with the Mustang. As soon as the gas gauge/level got to just past 1/2-a-tank, it would fall to empty and my heads up display would say 0 Miles To Empty. If I drove for a few miles longer, Id start having symptoms of the car running out of gas, even though I had half a tank left. The car has two separate fuel tanks. One under each rear passenger area. When the main tank with the fuel pump gets empty, theres a vacuum line that is supposed to take gas from the secondary tank and move it over into the main one. Turns out that vacuum line came loose and the gas wasnt making it over into the main tank which would affect the float, gas level and make the car think it was out of gas. Its all good now. The other problem is a really annoying rattle coming from the left rear side that started to develop shortly around the same time as the fuel problem. Whenever Im slowly driving down the road, the rattle is so loud and annoying that it almost makes me not want to drive the car. I thought it was the wheels center cap. I was wrong. Turns out the rattle is the seatbelt attachment point at the cars frame. There is a factory recall on the attachment points that I was not aware of. It pertains to them coming loose. If any of you guys have a 2005-2009 Mustang, get it checked out. Anyway, both problems have been taken care of and Im now problem free. Feels good to have them solved because Ive been dealing with them for what seems like forever. Just wanted to share.
