So for the second time in a week I seem to be viewed as a day laborer. This time I bid a job, sent out an estimate for the work and was told that sounds good go ahead and start in an email. When I called her to talk about scheduling and to inquire about a deposit I was told oh my husband will never go for that. We pay everyone weekly for the work theyve done I told her I needed money for materials and she said to go ahead and pick up the materials and bring me the receipts and Ill reimburse you immediately Because of the rain and having no other interior work I agreed and told her I would stop by the job site later to coordinate with the other contractors so we wouldnt be in each others way. I stopped there this afternoon and found her there with another painting contractor I know in the process of measuring the same area I was going to be working! She told me it was just in case because I seemed really busy. I said well I guess I wont bring in any of my ladders then call me when you decide what you want to do and left before I lost it.
