So, for those of you who understand how techno-challenged I am, please marvel at what I am about to tell you: After about 3 hours of research, modification, frustration, and then finally success... I have edited some files in XCOM: Enemy Within so that I can access the Command Console. All so that I can just enjoy the slow crawl of Marathon mode, without going insane trying to stop the world descending into panicked chaos. Yes, it ruins the games urgency/atmosphere... but Ive already finished the game twice (regular and marathon) legitimately, and felt like a simpler run through this time. And yes, for most gamers out there, Im sure this would be a laughably simple task... but for someone who took a year (and a bit) to figure out formulas in Mircosoft Excel, this is a big deal. :P
