So frustrating! I Dip into my CPAs office (b4 I went to the gas station) to do an e-sign for my tax returns & get hit with this huge & unexpected tax bill! After I regain consciousness Im asking my CPA how is it that Im ending up with this exorbitant tax bill when I took almost NO income from my real estate company but made these capital improvements @ the end of the year to make SURE I didnt pay tax on it. She tells me that this administration changed all these tax laws that all but stripped small businesses of any incentive (much less any chance) to make any money! She proceeds to tell me that an air conditioner that USED to be deductible & thus an incentive for small businesses to grow, NOW has to be depreciated over 40 years like my office building! Are you flipping kidding me?!?!?!? I have to deduct an ac over 40 years? Will everyone whos EVER had an AC last for 40 years please raise your hand! Not to mention paying self employment tax on the money I give to church, missionaries & 501C3s fighting human trafficking & doing animal rescuing! What a buncha crap! Decided to go to Dairy Queen to self medicate & ran out of gas ( I refer you to line 1) for the 2nd time in my entire life! Theres GOT to be a bottle of vodka around here somewhere!
