So funny story- last night I randomly heard a piece of paper being blown off of what I thought was my desk or printer or something, so I didnt think anything of it until I realized about 20 minutes before my UDE(for those who dont know, thats the sophomore barrier exam that allows a student to be in upper division lessons and is one of the most important juries of ones undergrad) that it was one of my excerpts that was blown off of my stand!! This is one of the days that Im very thankful for the scales and tunes juries! So although I played an except by ear/memory, I still PASSED my UDE!!! Between finding that out, finishing some paperwork that was due for Vienna, and getting to see Jan Kagarice for the first time in WAY too long, it was a pretty great day and I couldnt have been happier to see Jan! I especially want to thank Noel Wallace for everything this semester! Youre awesome and Ive been blessed to have had the opportunity to study with you! Although its been a weird semester, its been really great and Ive strengthened old relationships and developed great new ones. Ive learned a lot from professors and colleagues and I would certainly say that its been successful! So time to finish strong with finals, then enjoy Christmastime with my family, then hop on the plane to Vienna!!!
