So funny story. The day we got married in 1991 it was 84 degrees out. Who knew?! And my husbands best friends mother made our wedding cake. She is like a second mother to my hubby. Anyway. She did the cake and dropped off at Josephs Country Manor before the ceremony so she could enjoy the day. So between the wedding ceremony and the receptions while we were out pre celebrating with the wedding party. My parents got the call from the hall that there was a serious problem and to call them right away. The message was taken by Kelley Lynn and Kristen Devine Molinaro who were babysitting 20 kids at their house and were teens....anyway....my mom called and found out while they were setting up hall they knocked table and cablam....down feel cake....they were able to salvage enough to serve, but the cake top etc had crashed. They contacted a bakery and got a demo cake for the pictures. My friends mother was devastated. Never happened before or since then. So we opted not to do the cake cutting in thoughts of saving her feelings.....Went on our honeymoon and when we got back my mothers best friend had made us a beautiful wedding cake. She wanted us to have one for our anniversary!!!! thank you Beth Schmidt
