So glad this day is almost over. I must say October 1st has came in with a bang! So much to be thankful for. I got up and went to work to fix some food for a funeral dinner for Jim Taylor, our neighbor of 30 years. I took a break mid morning and called to check on NaNa and mom answered...I said whats up? She said Nan is having trouble breathing. So we discussed a couple options to try..and the Depot Diner staff kicked it in gear with me and we loaded my car and I head to town to drop off my food. I walked in to St. Johns church and grabbed the first people I saw to help unload my car, so thanks to my church family at St. Johns and Steve Dotzert from Virginia who was the first face I knew when I walked in the door that I knew would help. Thanks to my little sister Erica Watkins for heading to the church to help in my place. Then off to NaNas..after several breathing treatments and loading her in the car her pulse ox went to 74. mom and I were scared to head to Springfield so we went to the Firehouse and ended up on their doorstep! So THANKS so much to the Beardstown fire and ambulance crew for the help and compassion you gave us and the ride to Springfield. Thank you to our wonderful Pastor Doug Evenson for coming to be with us and giving us communion because she insisted on it! Nana is stable and at St Johns hospital which is more like a hotel with the newly remodeled rooms. So back to work for me to deliver a meal for Mossy Oak hunters at 8pm..thanks to the Depot employees for having things ready...and last but not least thanks be to God for watching out for Pat and I tonight when we delivered the food and drove into standing water that we could not see. Tahoes do float..we safely made it to the other side and took off again. We have been blessed in so many ways today to still be here. Thank you Lord for your blessings and all who have helped us to make today a little easier. Love to all. Good night!
