So happy to be home but the new med set up had my brain doing overtime...not to mention everything got thrown into my kitchen and dining room when we got here and its messed caused my anxiety to go through the roof. I had no idea where any of her stuff was and trying to settle her in while setting up her equipment was crazy. Tonight I craved protein and a good meal so I treated us to dinner from the Caledonia Village Inn...thank you Lisa Bleier for having the best chicken french around AND for substituting with fries and your deliscious green beans...Ive been craving this incredible dish for over two weeks!!! Did not disappoint!!! She vomited nearly the entire way home...her nystagmus was just crazy AND it was an hr after meds. We are weaning her seizure meds in the hope of alleviating this. Tonight she retched just once and I vented her gtube and actually got air our...my first successful vent!!! What a cool thing to be able to relieve the pressure that causes her such trouble...who knew there was such a perk to such an invasive measure. I honestly cant say enough about the wonderful nurses we had on 4-1600 at SMH. I went in partial to my veterans but the newbies sure won me over...and of course Faith won THEM over!!! Certain ones wod pop in to see her even though they werent assigned to her. They are caring and wonderf professionals. Her attending who visited with us daily and did an absolutely incredible job coordinating her care (he took her case after we had that team meeting and he retained her despite his rotation of service being completed). He brought her a HUGE fish balloon and apologized to her that it wasnt exactly Nemo but he hoped it would due!!! I wish there was a way to thank them all...words of gratitude alone seem so inadequate. So now shes awake and seems happy once again so Im hoping she is on the road to health once again!!! I want to thank everyone who has kept her in your thoughts and prayers and for your encouragement and support through this challenging time. Much love to you all
