So, having replaced the leisure battery on the caravan, Ive had to have out mobile caravan repair chappie. He was really helpful and tells me the battery charger on the van has gone. Unfortunately its both a cheap, crappy one which Elddis fit, and an integral part of the mains consumer unit which would cost £400 to replace. So he recommends getting a CTEK smart trickle charger and clipping it to the battery cables temporarily (which hes stripped back for us). Then having it permanently installed by the main dealer when we have it serviced. Any thoughts? Ill post a link to the one Im thinking of getting from Halfords, which he approved.
