So here is a very pregnant update about me for all of you wonderful people that are curious and waiting for information lol I have a lot of people asking me whats going on so here is a shortish summary..Today (August 29th) is my due date-I am 40 weeks pregnant. Crazy! I had a midwife appointment today and she determined that I am about 4cm dialated and 50% effaced..in non pregnancy terms..thats about 1/3 of the way to Colt being born-for those of you reading that with confused thoughts, hehe. Until Tuesday morning my main midwife is out of town and the back up midwife is busy with another client. So if I go into labor before Tuesday morning, I will either be headed to the Kenora hospital or to the Dryden hospital, whichever I choose. The back up midwife would meet me at the Kenora hospital. The midwives do not have hospital priviledges in Dryden so Kenora hospital is the option if they are there for a hospital birth. Once Tuesday hits, the home water birth option is open once again because either midwife will be available (crossing my fingers the most for this!). If he is not born by next Friday we will discuss induction options at my next appointment (Friday) for the following week. They may even keep me overnight in Kenora next Friday to try to get things going with a stretch and sweep..I wont go into detail with that lol if that doesnt work Ill be sent home again. I will be 41 weeks and they prefer babies to be born BY 42 weeks, so after heading home I will head to Kenora on a chosen day the following week to be given a drip to induce labor. My main goal in this all is to be with the midwives for labor and birth-even if it doesnt happen at home in the water like I really want. Please send labor dust my way for this week..I am dreading having to be induced. I hope that answers all of your questions.. :)
