So here is my beautiful - still - sand plum cherry tree. I. The spring it has gorgeous pink flowers. Then its leaves turn a deep red and in late summer small red fruits appear. I LOVED this tree. Then 2 years ago, wind knocked it over.my husband swore it was going to die because he said its roots are split . I wanted to see about raising it back up and staking it. He had a friend come by who was in a tree service- who he says agreed with him. Well 2 years later, its still living- bent- but still growing. Only now in a new direction- still reaching for the sky as you can see. 2 new ones have now sprouted to each side as well. I still dont have the money to try to set it back up. To me , especially this last couple years ,it feels like its a simile of life itself- my life- life has bent me over, but Im just trying to keep going- in a new direction if needed. Well Larry decided ( still ) that it really is going to die and said I told him if the other 2 continued to grow- he could cut it down. I dont believe I said any such thing and dont understand why it bothers him the way it is . I was very mad at first, and every time I drive by, I still get this darn you feeling, but there is nothing I can do about it so no use continuing to be angry. Still , I dont think he will cut it anymore. Its going to really look strange now if I ever get to put it back up!
