So here is our update on Jackson. The vet thinks and I agree at this point he appears to be having tremendous pain in his upper leg armpit area that is most likely a bad strain, muscle tear or bruise. It does not appear to be gastro-intestinal. No lab work or X -rays at this point as the assumption is they will not show anything. He has pain meds and meds for his nausea which is most likely causes from the pain. He is to rest and have pain meds with limited movement. I have to monitor and hope that it isnt something else more serious like a spinal disc / deterioration (IVDD)-which I dont think it is. My guess is that during the day he and Sophie may have been barking at squirrels out the small winos standing on their puppy stairs and he may have fallen off and injured himself. Thats my best guess and hope. Fingers are crossed and thanks so much for all the kind words. Here is a pic of Jackson at the vet and Sophie on the puppy steps looking out the window.
