So here is what I know....I was 4..born in Southampton and my dad who discovered the naval life was not for family..without a college education only high school and making a HUGE decision to go to the Bahamas for a job ...my family crying saying we were going to live in tree huts and grass skirts because he was like a fisherman and threw out the line with Barclays in Nassau and within 3 weeks we lived thru a hurricane and he sailed to work...they treated him well he lived and worked for one company his whole life...he is a good man and treated people like they should be..I love the Bahamas and have returned every 2 yrs on average..even though I should not be in the sun...melanoma.pre cancerous plus 45 moles...but my latest visit hit the list...it reminded me of why I consider it my home..from getting delayed and put up by Bahamas air in a hotel ..I know many of you may have alternative experiences...but they were one of the best.I had not seen my neighbors for so long but checking in from International to domestic saw Robert Brown...we looked at each other like we spoke yesterday...not yrs ..yes we went to the wrong terminal being tourists and all..when we got to the A met Robert again...god help us all...Johnny who was so laid back after all his R&R and bands...really Johnny.???.havent seen me in 10 yrs and you are reading a book??? My mom would be proud...but most of all you me a woman who is fantastic....and takes care of you..Mary McBeath wonderful to meet you...My pals Heather and Frances that would have put me up in a sec.I got a severe eye infection I had not seen Frances in yrs she didnt bat an eyelid when I looked worse than that blue avitar thing.. but to reach out to her contacts that could help....Wow..and she actually said she wished her visit could have been longer....lol.the true friendliness of the people and laid back...leaving doors open and the key in the golf cart..Lots of things happened there but it was not beyond anyone to jump and help..I miss that and I know you think life is greener wherever you are...but I LIKE REAL and I thank all that give me that here in Alpharetta and the Bahamas...
