So, here it is: After a year and a half of pain, frustration and confusion, I finally have an answer to what is causing pain in my foot. It is a sprain in the ligaments of my mid-foot (lisfranc ligament). At this point, I should be mad at the doctors for taking so long to diagnose this, mad at God for letting me go through this and mad at myself for not finishing my original course- but Im not. I have PEACE, JOY and HOPE. Peace knowing that this injury is how the Lord drew me close to Himself. It is why I have had to learn to not put my worth and identity in the world and what I do. It is the reason for the incredible freedom that comes in knowing the Lord has a plan and purpose for my life and the joy that comes in trusting a Heavenly Father. Lastly, I now have a hope, hope in a God that despite my failures and shortcomings will love me with a relentless love and will move mountains until he has me. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the SAME God who is chasing you. What we may see as trials, tragedies and temptations in life may be the very thing that God is using to bless you.
