So here it is, the emotional sentimental perhaps my last status dedicated exclusively to my batch!!!! Like all good things come to an end, your VIT journey has also ended. The journey which you started by giving VITEEE has officially ended today when you got your degree. Its sometimes funny that you toil hard for 4 years, give more than a 100 exams, submit almost a gazillion assignments and spend thousands of hours of your life in LABS/CLASSES, and then after so much of work, you get your degree within 5 seconds, before you can even understand, before you can even let the feeling sunk in, you have to get down from the stage as the next guy/girl is waiting to get his/her degree!(and moreover its much more pleasant out there on the stage(AC)...) Well life in VIT initially was just all about academics , getting good grades,securing an eye brow raising pointer, and making your parents feeling proud of you, but I guess within a month or so you started to witness the best 4 years of your life, you made friends who will pull your leg for every god damn thing, but will stand for you in your hardest of times. Friends gave a whole new meaning to your College Life, be it the late night movies, the sharing of laptop or laughing together upon seeing some episodes of Friends, each moment was equally cherished!! The mess food wasnt great, to be frank it never was and it never will be, but you managed to sometimes have a stomach full mindlessly while chatting with your friends!! Coming back to academic stuff, Project 1, copy karne wale 10, bahut na insaafi hai re, you were always dependent on an early bird(usually a 9 pointer) to do complete the project, so that you can just simply copy! Bhai wake up at 7:20, said every bro to his bro, but sometimes they forgot it was just a never ending cycle !!! From doing a rs8 sharing auto to chittoor bus stand to asking sukha from the Pani poori wala bhaiya, I am sure you will it all The list can go and on and on, we all know it!! I am pretty sure everyone(2010 batch) is doing or will do something really worthwhile, you all will earn lakhs of rupess, but never again you will have a single pack of maggi and 6 hungry stomachs(in 2nd year mainly) !!! I have stretched this post already, I will end it by sharing something I recently came across .Try never to be the smartest person in the room. And if you are, I suggest you invite smarter people or find a different room. In professional circles it’s called networking. In organizations it’s called team building. And in life it’s called family, friends, and community. We are all gifts to each other, and your own growth as a leader will show you again and again that the most rewarding experiences come from your relationships. Ok, I will finally end it now by quoting the from Friends, Its like youre always stuck in second gear, Well, it hasnt been your day, your week, your month, or even your year. But, Ill be there for you, when the rain starts to pour. Ill be there for you, like Ive been there before. Ill be there for you, cause youre there for me too. A decent CGPA is required to get a decent job, but I will suggest you guys to also try to be a decent person who is loved and adored by everyone, you will come across a 1000 9 pointers in VIT, but you will not find a single person who will exactly like you, so try to make yourself a person who is special in his own way! Something non academic:- I wont say one should run after success or perfection, will just recommend you to do what you like and do that in a way that no one can match you style! ~Rahul Manglik( finally an EX-VITIAN)
