So here we are at the end of March and a lot has been happening - TopicsExpress

So here we are at the end of March and a lot has been happening here in London! We will go back to the start of the month where we were all cashed up due to the monthly pay check! So spirits where very high! So the first thing you do is pack your clothes and hop on a flight to anywhere you desire. Well thats what any normal person would do! But what do you think I did? Thats right I did pack a suitcase but it was full of indoor cricket gear! I was headed off to Bristol for the last leg of the national league. Im a cricket tragic I know! Clare Coyle was happy to see the back of me! No thats a lie because I took the plastic so the shopping had to be kept to a minimum! Love you darling hahahah. Anyways where was I oh thats right I was in a very small Audi (thanks Clifton Ian Muil for driving) jam packed in the back with the smelly Wayne Baird and with Horses hits blaring from the boom box! Thanks Clint McCabe your music choices never disappoint I believe you missed your calling. DJ Horse has a ring to it. We where all fresh and ready to win the national league title! We arrived at the Bristol centre that resembled a freezer holy moly it was cold! I could go on about the cricket and how we fell 1 points short of the league title correct me if Im wrong lads but the real story here is in the fines session and you know what since I have family on Facebook Im going to be very brief! 5 blokes 9 jugs 1.5 hours = not a pretty site. That was that! Wow what a weekend. I arrived home on the Monday afternoon to a not very sympathetic girlfriend! But if the shoe was on the other foot I would have done the same. The week flew by and I believe that the following weekend was a non event many movies where watched as Clare and I where preparing for what the following weekend had in store! Madrid! What a beautiful city and great culture! We left on the Friday night and after 1.5 hours we had touched down in Spain! Excitement levels where extremely high mainly because our travel companions Kelli Farrell and Regan Tooze had an adjoining room which meant UNO at pace! Saturday was greeted with a great breakfast and one of the most amazing coffees I had ever consumed. Amazeballs so to speak! We then headed to our FREE walking tour or Madrids most popular monuments and along the way where given a great insight into the history of Madrid. Absolutely amazing tour. With that taking up a great portion of the day we decided to jump on the hop on hop off buses to take in some more sites. We where all quiet tired form the massive day of being a Tourist so we headed back to our stunning hotel bath robes included! We all agreed on having a nap or siesta. That quickly turned into cramb session of our old friend UNO. With time flying by we put on our best walking/eating shoes as we where on our way to a tapas tour! We all met at the town centre which is called Sol to start our night of eating and drinking. Im not going to get into much detail about the tapas and drinks all I will say is it was amazing, I highly recommend the tapas tour. Spain is where tapas where invented and let me tell you after many decades of practise they have perfected it! Sunday was also a very touristy day we jumped back on the hop on hop off and explored till our feet started hating us! The royal palace was excuse the cliche but breathtaking! Absolutely amazing! A lot of gold and a lot of man hours spent creating such a beautiful place. Unfortunately we where unable to take photos but that place will be forever etched in memory! Wow what a weekend so much achieved in such a short period of time! Many tapas eaten many sangrias drunk and many soles worn! Back to reality back to London for work the next day. But how lucky are we! 1.5 hours to most European countries! The 3rd weekend was spent in London Clare and I went exploring in our own backyard so to speak. We rented some borris bikes (the London equivalent to city cycles) and started pedalling! Wow I had not rode a bike in some time and lets just say I had a deep burn going on. It was a great day and great weekend. Wow my fingers are sore from all this typing I hope someone actually reads this! The final weekend in March brought us to the lovely country on Denmark and to it capital Copenhagen. We again traveled with our travel buddies as well as Sarah May and Leigh Chen. Im seriously in love with Copenhagen they have got it right! City is very clean and as a capital city has not lost its heritage and character! With water so clear you can see the numerous bikes that have been discarded in the canals to the royal palaces and the happy faces of all the people locals and tourists and not to mention Princess Mary our Australian counterpart who I will add was at home whilst we visited. Everything about the weekend was Amazing! Thoroughly enjoyed the company and the weekend! So thats me up to date! Hope everyone back home is safe I love and miss you all especially my family. Stay tuned more updates to come!
