So here we are on the cusp of another three day weekend. Please enjoy the BBQs, the time with the family and friends and that extra day off. But please remember what this weekend is about, a chance to honor and remember those who have willingly given much and all so we can enjoy the freedoms we have. I know we sometimes take that for granted, but please remember these freedoms were bought with life and limb with nothing expected in return. All who served signed on knowing what that meant. So as a Vet I have a small request of you. That free cup of coffee, that discounted meal, will fill our bellies and sate our hunger for a few hours. But a little nod of appreciation, a handshake or a simple thank you will fill our heart and soul for a lifetime. We know you appreciate what we have done but sometimes it is nice to hear it once in a while. Thanks from a grumpy old Vet, Rich (USAF)
