So heres how things went today. Missed the first flight at 6 am because of unexpected traffic and security hold ups. Both of the people in front of me had to have their bags checked and rescanned for like 4 times. Next flight wasnt for 3 hours or more. Then when I got on that flight we had to wait for them to spray ice off of the wings. But then that truck had a malfunction so we had to wait for a different one. When we finally get to OHare, I had to wait on my backpack to come up from the undercarriage. It was coming up the conveyor belt......and fell off. By the time I got that, I had about 15 minutes to get to the shuttle and across the entire concourse to my next flight. Shuttle was late. I ran. I was 2 minutes passed boarding time and they wouldnt let me on. The plane was still there, but they wouldnt let me on! The next flight was 3 1/2 hours later as a standby. Only if there was room would I make it on. If not, I had to wait until 8 pm. Thank the Lord I got on that standby. Ive been up 18 hours, Im exhausted and emotionally drained, but Im here.
