So heres my take...very happy to hear that the BCTF and BCPSEA are back talking to each other. If I were there Id lock them in and throw away the key until they tell me theyve got a deal. But realistically this is how I would like to see this weekend play out: With the help of a Mr. Ready as mediator they will either A) get a negotiated/mediated settlement this weekend or B) the government agrees to binding arbitration if Mr. Ready says they are still too far apart. There is no reason to allow this to go on any longer. The support is there. The options are there. Kids need to be back in school before the end of next week - not by October as government people have stated. Thats my thoughts anyways. (Well I guess technically I thought they should have been back two weeks ago but you know...)
