So, horses were out last night in their night paddocks and all seemed quiet. This morning after being grained, they were turned out into the big grassy pasture. One would think they would be very calm and just walk around and eat. But, oh no...for about 10 min all three of them were galloping and bucking wildly! Even Ginger the 19 year old TB was rearing up like she was on the Lone Ranger! It was so much fun to watch them play that even Ducky kept running into the field chasing them not realizing she is less than 1 hand tall! A couple of nights ago we had 3 escapees (again) breaking two boards from the wooden fence (thats twice in about 3 weeks). Thank goodness for good neighbors as they wrangled them up at 4 am and put them in the big pasture. So now they have some lovely electric poly tape as backup. They figured it out rather quickly that is is not just pretty ribbon for them to rub against! Life on the farm...
