Ko was just a servant who would help him when he got ready for a bath or ready to eat. It wasnt until Ko put his life on the line for Zuko when there was an assassin attack. Since then, Zuko and Ko have been inseparable. Eventually Ko grew feelings for Zuko, but he set them aside knowing that he was straight. Or so he assumed since he was dating Mei. Starter: Its over, Mei! Stop pestering me..no more chances! The voice of Zuko boomed down the hallway Ko was walking down. Before he could turn into the roon, he saw Mei run out crying. Uh oh. He mumbled to himself. Ko calmly stood in the doorway and knocked on the wall as he looked at an angered zuko. You okay, kid? Practically the whole floor could hear you. He frowned. Go away, Kohaku. Im not in the mood to screw around today. Im sorry. Zuko said, a single tear escaping his eye Ko blinked. Zuko never calls him by his whole name unless its serious. Ko hurried over to his side and patted his back. You wanna tell Koko what happened Zuzu? Zuko simply lifted his wet face with a quivering lip and pulled Ko close into a tight hug. I loved her, Ko. I was going to propose. And she betrayed me. The thought of some skimpy village girl breaking zukos heartmade Ko furious. But he simply rubbed zukos back in a soothing manor. There, there. You can tell me everything over a cup of tea. ---- So she cheated on you with some guy at the beach. Ko repeated as he sipped his tea. He simply set the cup down on the coffee table before them and stared at zuko intently. You know what I think? I think youre too good for her anyway. You are an awesome, helpful, kind guy shouldnt be taken for granted. And her name is now mud and the best thing to do is move on. Simple. He nodded confidently. Zuko smiled and laughed. Yeah, youre right. This is why youre my best friend, Ko. Ko stood from the couch that they were sitting on and placed his hands on his hips, chin raised high. Youre damn right, im youre best friend. He chuckled.
