So in light of the new Fall Chairity Fun-Raiser event announcement, you may be wondering why are we still fundraising for Quinn when she has surpassed her GoFundMe goal? The answer to this is multi-faceted. First of all, the original $29,000 goal did not include all of Quinns wishlist items, since she was in the hospital and in a lot of pain when she first came up with what she needed. Of major importance is a robotic assistive device which will allow her to stand and help her to regain her muscle tone and circulation in her legs, which we all really want her to have. Second, there are a number of accessibility issues in her home that require major renovation, including making her kitchen safer and easier to navigate, and hopefully allowing reasonable access to her backyard so that she can get down to play with her kids and out to her garage and vehicle in snowy conditions. Third, we started organizing the Fun-raiser early in the campaign before the generosity of the community came blazing through, and fourth, as a fun Thank-You celebration for that same wonderful community to enjoy.
