So, in the interest of discussion (without the accusatory tone I swear I read in that poll I referenced today) - What HAS held you back from adoption? The fears and hurdles are numerous... and it is OK to even just have your heart set on a biological baby. These decisions are all so personal - there is no one right answer. I have talked numerous times in the past about what held me back from adoption previously, but I am curious, what have been your barriers? And for those of you who did eventually come to adoption - what were the things that held you back before you did? Were your fears realized, or did you come to understand in the end that it was the best choice for you?
