So interested to see what the grand jury decision is on the Michael Brown case. My opinion is that Officer Darren Wilson should not be indicted. I have lots of African American friends and I dont want to lose any but I think they all know where I stand on racism. Actually, this case shouldnt have anything to do with race. It has to do with a police officer defending himself. This case has been made to center on race. If the teenager had been white, it wouldnt have even made the headlines. Police officers risk their lives every day to protect us. They have to make decisions that we will hopefully never have to make. How many of us have ever had to decide in a split second if we would kill or be killed? Police officers do not wake up in the morning planning on killing someone that day the same way we dont wake up planning on it. Its just that they respond to situations in which that may happen, and we dont. People cant have it both ways. We cant expect the police to protect us and then risk being punished for it. I expect that either way the decision goes is not going to be good for Ferguson or the rest of the country for that matter. Prayers for all those involved, especially the police officers who still have to try to maintain some order.
