So it looks like Mike Madigans 22nd District gets money for a new school in this years budget. According to CPS latest utilization data, seven of 13 schools in his district are overcrowded, so theres a good argument to be made that a new school in needed. It is interesting how the state legislature trumps any CPS process that might be in place or the 10-year master facility plan. But then again, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel doesnt pay attention to any process or plan either.
